A Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year to you all.
The December Committee of Management meeting unanimously endorsed Bryce Normoyle as Treasurer for 2023. Our current Treasurer, Ron Wilson (and his team) successfully steered us through the extremely difficult Covid years and has established the processes that will take us into the future. Ron has decided that some family travel time is now in order. He will complete the financial requirements and audit for 2022 and Bryce will take over for the 2023 year.
Ron has my heartfelt thanks for the magnificent effort he has produced, and I wish him and his wife Lorraine all the best with their travels. I have no doubt that we will continue to have Ron’s service in the future.
Members are assured that the financial arrangements are in very safe hands with Bryce.
It was an absolute pleasure to open both the Artistic Showcase and uniFEST, in recent days.
In both cases the exhibits and performances were outstanding and of a “professional” level.
What really stood out was the enjoyment, given and received, by all participants, and that should encourage us to expand our audiences in 2023. Thanks to Graeme Martin and his team for the organisation, food, emceeing, hospitality, cleaning up and the myriad of tasks associated with such events.
May I also congratulate all of our volunteers who have made 2022 such a success.
Rest up and enjoy the Christmas break and I look forward to welcoming you all back in 2023.
