Good communication keeps our members informed, connected and engaged and we need your help to keep it that way!

The U3A Manningham Communications Team is looking for volunteers to help in several key areas:

Editing

Help polish articles and announcements for our newsletter, emails and website. You’ll proofread, tidy up wording, and create short introductions to draw readers in.

Reporting

Love meeting people and telling stories? Our reporters write about classes, members and events that make U3A Manningham such a vibrant community.

Photography

Take photos at U3AM events and for other stories, and prepare the images for publication on the website and in newsletters.

Digital publication

Once everything is written, the production team swings into action. You’ll assist with publishing news via our website, pdf and email.

The website uses WordPress, which is simple to learn (no coding needed). For someone with general IT experience, it would be similar to learning Publisher or PowerPoint. Next year, we plan to introduce MailChimp for email newsletters.

Each of these roles plays an important part in keeping our community informed. The time commitment is regular but not demanding and you’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team.
