U3AM will be running Summer School activities at The Pines Learning & Activity Centre on 3 days in January 2026. These are Wednesday 14, 21 and 28 January.

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to help out on-site between 8:45 am and 3:30 pm. You can volunteer to assist on one or more of the Summer School days.

Duties may involve:

• greeting new Summer School tutors
• assisting tutors with room set-up and tidy-up of furniture and equipment
• introducing and thanking tutors
• liaising with the U3A Office or Summer School Coordinator in the event of any issues.

Being a host is easy and will not prevent you from participating in Summer School activities. However, you may need to briefly leave a class to help out fellow members.

A short training session will be run for volunteers prior to December.

Summer School is a valuable addition to our normal classes and gives our members a chance to keep up their exercise, connect with U3A friends, learn something new and have some fun!!!
