It’s hard to believe that uniFEST 2025 has come and gone.
What’s even harder to believe is that the performances just keep getting better every year. Our talented members continue to raise the bar, and I’m already wondering what magical and remarkable heights we’ll reach in 2026!

I even toyed with the idea of singing a little number called ‘uniFEST on my mind’ (to the tune of ‘You were on my mind’) during the costume changes. But I decided not to distract audiences who were already fully absorbed in the wonderful performances. Maybe next year!

As we wrap up another successful year across all U3A activities, I want to express my heartfelt thanks for the enthusiasm, participation and support shown by every class and every member. uniFEST simply wouldn’t happen without you.

Special appreciation goes to everyone who puts in countless hours behind the scenes, well beyond their ‘normal’ commitments. This includes our performers who practise tirelessly, try new songs, refine dance steps, don new costumes, and even introduce unexpected elements (like the Tai Chi fans this year!). And it includes the many unsung heroes who help ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.

To them, to the Committee of Management, the logistics team, the floor and door minders, the Catering Team, and the many others working quietly in the background, I extend my deepest thanks:
‘muchos gracias’, ‘terima kasih banyak-banyak’, ‘非常感谢’, ‘Merci beaucoup’, ‘Vielen Dank’,
 ‘どうもありがとうございます’, ‘आपका बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद’, ‘شكراً جزيلاً’, ‘Grazie mille’… Thank you very much.

There is no uniFEST without you.

As 2025 draws to a close, I wish everyone joy, laughter and good company throughout the festive season, and a New Year filled with enthusiasm, energy and perhaps a little more wisdom than we had when this year began.
