The run up to Christmas is busy!! So, before it gets too hectic, you may like to plan a few activities for January 2026.

Summer School program

U3A will be running some popular favourites and a couple of new and interesting activities on Wednesdays 14, 21 and 28 January at The Pines. We invite you to come along, join in the fun and catch up with friends.

Music is known for its positive effects on mood, memory and general wellbeing. So book in to survey a musical smorgasbord of 50s, 60s and 70s popular music, and hear how many of our favourite bands were influenced by Buddy Holly. Then keep the happy vibes flowing in a fun low-key singalong.

Spark your curiosity at talks on the performing arts, museum items that ‘Egypt wants back’ or significant Indigenous sites in Manningham.

Exercise your body in our January ‘Easy Start’ classes in Strength Training and Chair-based Exercise.

Or tease out the brain cells with a fun Trivia session, Current Affairs or our regular Summer Bridge group.

Enrolment

Summer School enrolments will open on Tuesday 7 October. You can:

  • enrol and pay online via MyU3A (note: the 2026 Summer School classes are listed as Term 5 in 2025)
  • make a booking at the U3A Office to enrol and pay in person at U3A on Wednesday 15 October
  • complete a paper enrolment form and pay at the Office after 15 October.

Summer School is a single payment of $10 for ALL activities, regardless of the number of classes you may wish to attend.

When enrolling online, you’ll be prompted to pay after you’ve selected your classes. Payment by credit card is made using the e-Way payment system. Log on through our home page using your membership number and password. If you don’t remember your password, click on the forgot password button and a new password will be sent to your e-mail address. Take your time after entering your credit card details and clicking on ‘Pay Now’. Remember to wait until e-Way confirms your payment, this could take a couple of minutes.

For thosenot wishing to enrol online, the manual enrolment system is the same as in previous years. Make an appointment at the front office from Tuesday 7 October to attend on Wednesday 15 October to enrol with the aid of volunteer enrollers. Please remember to record your appointment time and come on time. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or credit card. If you miss this opportunity, enrolments and payments will be accepted at the Office after 15 October.

  • keep up your exercise
  • meet up with friends
  • try a new short course
  • have some fun!!!
