Oaks Day is a unique day in the Melbourne Spring Racing Calendar. U3A Manningham is celebrating Oaks Day with a party! All classes starting from 1:30 pm at The Pines and external venues will be cancelled to enable members to join us for the festivities.

This is a chance for everybody to dust off those nice clothes that are hanging in wardrobes unused, glam up and strut their stuff on what will be a memorable occasion. You can form a table of friends and enjoy all the fun of Oaks Day without having to go to Flemington, pay an exorbitant entrance fee, be jostled by crowds and then have to commute home again in heavy traffic.

The day will include the running of The Manningham Cup, a fashion parade and photographs, and prizes and trophies for the best hats and outfits. Afternoon tea will be provided along with plenty of music, singing and dancing. So come along and enjoy the day.

Members are encouraged to participate in the fashion parade and join in the fun for the running of The Manningham Cup.

NB: Any friends, wives, husbands or partners attending must be members of U3A Manningham.
