Well, here we are again! With the Spring Racing Carnival approaching, it’s time to look forward to another fabulous Oaks Day celebration, giving us the perfect excuse for a party.
This year’s event will be on Thursday 5 November in the Pines Function Room. The format will be a little different, but the numbers will again be capped at 130, the same as last year.
An Oaks Day and Irish celebration
This year, we’re adding an Irish theme to the traditional Oaks Day theme giving everyone the opportunity to embrace 2 different styles of dress. This will also provide even more opportunities to win a prize!
There will be prizes for:
| Best Oaks Day Table | Best Irish Table |
| Best Dressed Lady | Best Dressed Colleen |
| Best Ladies’ Hat | Best Ladies’ Fascinator |
| Best Dressed Man | Best Dressed Couple |
| Dancing Queen | Elegance Personified |
Bubbly, sandwiches and cakes will be provided. Dancing is going to be the name of the game and, to this end, a band of 3 professional musicians has been engaged. I think everyone who attended last year would agree it was a great fun day. This year we are aiming to make it truly unforgettable.
Keep a look out for the enrolment flyer as it will be ‘first in, best dressed.’ Remember, there are only 130 places on offer.
